Happy Halloweeen. The schedule called for breakfast at the Bell Tower Cafe. They don’t open as early as they did pre covid closure. There was no need for me to hurry yet I was still early and the first one there. I wandered around the parking lot and took a few pictures as the sun came up.

Eventually 4 other riders arrived: Russ, Rich, Mike, and Poul. It was just as Poul was arriving that we noticed there was no activity inside the restaurant. Mike checked online and discovered that they were closed. In any case we needed food and coffee. Plans needed to be made.

Rich suggested a restaurant near by. We got on our bikes and followed Mike who had a route to the restaurant already up on his phone. Ten minutes later we were sipping coffee, waiting for the food to be served.

I headed home after breakfast to repair some wind damage from the recent storms. I think the others headed up to Alice’s.

Update: It appears that the Rancho Shopping Center location is closed. Todd found this and sent it to the mailing list.

‘Owner Danny Shafazand said the restaurant was not able to maintain its previous success through the long chill of COVID and unsuccessfully sought a rent renegotiation. He thanks “the Los Altos community for the years of support.”’
