The Breakfast Club: Big Basin Redwoods

After breakfast I mentioned I was going to ride up Felton-Empire to Empire Grade then down Jameson Creek to 236 and through Big Basin Redwoods state park. In a rare bit of agreement the other three decided to follow. No one rode alone – until the end of the ride.

We stopped at the park for a short break and look around. The new growth around and on the trees burnt in the fires of 2020. The park is open again. Reservations are needed to stay.

We continued the ride on 236 to 9 and then up 9 to Skyline. Rich stayed on 9 to head home. Jag, Todd, and I headed north on Skyline with the required stop at Alice’s for another break before we, too, headed home.
