When you ride with us, you ride alone.
T’was the mantra of the day. Was a bit late getting started this morning but was so very much lookin forward to hooking up with some riders to explore new roads in the north bay territory. When I did arrive at the Redwood Cafe I was suprized to see not a hint of a two wheeled vehicle parked anywhere on the street. Oh not to worry I guess they have parking in the back. So I ordered my breakfast and waited for the first of none to show. Then as I was leaving I did see a sign that the back lot is a tow away lot…be warned. I parked across the street in the designated motorcycle parking like the law abiding person my mother instilled into me at an early age. After finishing the breakfast that would last me all day and most likely through dinner till breakfast tomorrow.
I started to question if the schedule had changed? I bring out my pocket computer and check the SMBC website and nope I’m actually in the right place at the right time. With breakfast out of the way and only myself to appoint as ride leader it was decided unassailable that the ride would proceed inland to the wonderful lake Berryessa Knoxville road and proceed to highway 175 into Hopland where liquid refeshments were poured with gusto while engaging local Dave into converstion of many things (mostly just BS). Watching the giants until the last inning (yes they won 12-3) it was time to get on home. What a wonerful ride you missed spring flowers and temps mostly in the 70’s. 245 miles door to door on an absolutly gorgeous day. Hope to see you next time!
Cheers! Paul
