It was cold this morning. The thermometer on my bike never left the 30s when on I 280. The black ice warning came on again on SR 17. That didn’t stop 10 riders from going to Scotts Valley for breakfast at Mollies. It was 34 °F and foggy in the parking lot. Lots warmer inside.
After breakfast Russ headed off as he is wont to do. WWWobble led the rest of us 1/2 of a block to a gas station. He was the first one there, and the last one ready to leave. Chris wound up leading the group of nine riders on a meandering route that led us to the top of the hill with a rest stop at Waddell beach along the way.
Beach day
Yes, families are going to the beach and kids are running around in not much more than T-shirts even though the temperature was maybe 50 °F. Maybe. I was glad for heated gear on the bike.
