After breakfast I took Stevens Canyon to highway 9 to Skyline and found a spot to pull over and maybe, if I was lucky, take some pictures of SMBC members as they rode by. I didn’t think there would be many as I took the less direct route and most might be ahead of me.
How not to take a picture
This wonderful photo of Dan is a prime example of how not to take an image. I set up the camera for some action shots, but forgot to check the drive mode. Instead of being at 8 shots/second I was in 2 second self timer mode. I hit the shutter, heard the beeps, figured I’d keep tracking Dan in hopes of getting some kind of shot, but forgot to keep the camera focused. Someday I’ll learn how to take a picture.
Not SMBC riders
My GS
After getting the camera set I heard some bikes and quickly snapped a few shots. Oh… they are not SMBC riders. While waiting for more bikes I took a shot of my GS.
An SMBC rider follows
Carl
The next time I heard bikes I recognized one of them.
Don’t know who the first rider was, but Carl was following on his Guzzi.
Another non-member
Followed by 3 more
Then two
And one
Don’t know who any of these guys are. I took their pics to prove that I don’t always screw up the shot. The lead rider is mostly in focus with some wheel blur to show movement. Or something like that.
