The Breakfast Club: Ooops!

Sunday, Aug 18 2013

I rode my ‘05 R1200GS for eight years and never got a flat. I’ve had my ‘13 for less than 6 weeks and today Rob pointed out a sheet metal screw (phillips, if you care) sticking out of my front tire. I blame Dave G. He was in front of me on the ride to breakfast and probably kicked it up into my tire.

It’s plugged. I think the speed of inflation impressed some. The Cycle Pump can apparently put out some air. This is the first time I’ve ever used it to completely inflate a tire. The plug is holding air. I really should dismount the tire and patch it from the inside, too.
